Fishing Adventure is the largest fishing lake in the Netherlands and serves as the base for international fishing events such as Bellyfiction. What started as a unique fishing location has grown into a destination where anglers can experience large open water, diverse fish stocks, and well-organised facilities. Bellyfiction was originally introduced and developed by Frank Stroms and Sandra Lütke Dartmann, who laid the foundation for what has become a respected international belly boat and kayak fishing event. The first two editions were successfully hosted at Fishing Adventure, where the event quickly gained recognition for its atmosphere, organisation, and sporting quality.
Following the third edition, Frank and Sandra decided to transfer the organisation of Bellyfiction to the Fishing Adventure team. This transition ensures continuity while allowing the event to grow further within a permanent, professional fishing environment. During the fourth edition, Frank and Sandra will remain closely involved, supporting the organisation with their experience and guidance.
Fishing Adventure now proudly continues Bellyfiction with the ambition to honour the level and spirit of the first three editions. Our team consists of dedicated professionals with a shared passion for sportfishing from experienced event management and fishing specialists to hospitality and customer support staff. Together, we work toward one goal: delivering a well-organised, respectful, and unforgettable fishing experience for every participant.

Yes. Our events are designed for a wide range of anglers from experienced competitors to recreational and youth anglers. Each event has clear rules, guidance, and supervision to ensure fair and enjoyable participation.
Most major competitions, including Bellyfiction, Big Fish, and Carp Couple, are multi-day events. The KidsCup Tournament is a two-day event, allowing young anglers plenty of time to participate and learn.
Fish welfare is a top priority. All events follow strict fish-care guidelines, including proper handling, measuring procedures, and immediate release. Our staff and judges actively monitor compliance throughout the event.
